 Mechanical Design Engineer
Department
  • Product Development
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Research, plan, and design new and revised mechanical products and systems, and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical, electromechanical products and systems and small fluid metering pumps and dispensers.
  • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Design products or systems such as instruments, controls, and mechanical assemblies to work as or in conjunction with fluid metering pumps and dispensers.
  • Plan and work with engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Coordinate fabrication to ensure products and systems conform to design and customer specifications.
  • Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
  • Evaluate field tests and recommend design modifications to assure product meets original design goals.
  • Provide engineering support to the production group relative to a specific product being developed (i.e.: build procedures, training, fixtures, test and calibration equipment) and to the quality team (i.e.: suggests quality inspection methodology and sampling plans).
  • Provide ongoing product support when quality issues arise during the product life cycle.
  • Oversee specific product pre-production builds.
  • Travel (5 to 10%) to US and global customers / support product trade shows as required.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS Degree
  • Seven to twelve years related experience.
